Veritas AI

Veritas AI currently provides virtual AI programs for high school students worldwide. The AI Scholars program ($1,490) is a 10-week boot camp offering open enrollment and no prior AI experience requirement. Led by top-tier PhDs, it focuses on Python and AI/ML fundamentals. The AI Fellowship ($4,200) offers a 12-15 week 1:1 mentorship for more personalized learning, requiring completion of the Scholars program or prior AI/Python experience. Both programs, totalling $4,700, are crafted and led by Harvard graduates, fostering independent AI project development. Application deadlines vary for cohorts throughout the year, and need-based financial aid is available. They aim to equip high schoolers globally with essential AI skills and knowledge.

Harvard’s College Program

Harvard's Virtual Pre-College Program offers an intensive educational experience in data science and artificial intelligence for high school graduates Prerequisites include completion of a first calculus course and some familiarity with programming languages such as Python. The program delves into the Mathematical Elements of Data Science and AI, exploring mathematical aspects crucial for modern data science algorithms, with a computational component involving Python coding. 

Inspirit AI 

Inspirit AI offers artificial intelligence programs for high school students developed and    taught by Stanford and MIT Alumni and graduate students. They offer various cohorts throughout the year and also 1 on 1 mentorships. Attendees immerse themselves in project-based learning, participate in lectures spanning diverse AI topics, and contribute to a collaborative group project. Beyond advancing the understanding of AI, this initiative opens doors to networking with influential figures in the industry. They also offer programs for their ambassadors to come back and volunteer to help increase the Inspirit AI community and to learn from professionals in the various AI fields.

Pre-College AI scholars at Carnegie Mellon University

The AI Scholars program at Carnegie Mellon University offers a dynamic learning experience for rising high school juniors, providing a unique opportunity to delve into computing and artificial intelligence. With a cost below $500, the program has flexible options, including weekday camps held between July and August. The curriculum empowers students to create GPT-4-powered games, websites, art, rocket diagrams, and more, fostering hands-on learning. Additionally, participants benefit from a self-paced GPT and arts curriculum and personalized guidance from AI experts. Beyond creativity, students have the opportunity to compete in AI competitions. Open for registration with a rolling deadline, Adventure AI provides an accessible and interactive platform for young minds to engage with AI technology and unleash their innovative potential.

UC Santa Barbara’s Research Mentorship Program

A summer program that provides a unique opportunity for high school sophomores and juniors to engage in deep research. It currently costs $4,700 for commuters and $6,599 for residential participants, the program spans from June to August with a moderate level of selectivity. Students dedicate 30-40 hours per week working closely with research mentors, developing both a research presentation and university-level skills. The program stands out for its interdisciplinary approach, exposing students to a wide range of research topics in which they can rank their preferences. Participants choose a project and a research mentor—a graduate student, postdoc, or faculty member—for hands-on exploration of AI applications across diverse fields and disciplines. NYU’s Summer Program on Machine Learning
